Accessibility Statement

SoCity (hereinafter: “we” or “the Company”) is responsible for establishing and operating the website https://socity.co.il.

We consider it highly important to provide equal service to all citizens and to improve the service provided to citizens with disabilities. We invest considerable resources in making our website and digital assets accessible in order to make the Company’s services more available to people with disabilities.

In the State of Israel, approximately 20 percent of the population are people with disabilities who require digital accessibility in order to consume general information and services. Making our website accessible is designed to make it more available, user-friendly, and convenient for populations with special needs, resulting from, among other things, various motor disabilities, cognitive impairments, low vision, blindness or color blindness, hearing impairments, as well as the elderly population.

Accessibility Level on the Website – AA

The accessibility adaptation and accessibility testing for the Company’s website were performed by “Enable” company, from Upress, which specializes in making websites accessible. Enable company adapted the website’s accessibility to common browsers and mobile phone use as much as possible, and used Jaws and NVDA screen readers in its testing.

Enable company ensures compliance with the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations 5568-2013 at AA level. It also implements the recommendations of the WCAG 2.2 document by the W3C organization.

In English: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0

The website accessibility was implemented in accordance with the Government ICT Authority’s guidelines for making applications accessible in internet browsers.

How to Switch to Accessible Mode?

An accessibility icon is placed on the website (usually on the side of the website). Clicking on the icon allows opening the accessibility menu. After selecting the appropriate function in the menu, wait for the page to load and the desired change in display (if necessary).

If you wish to cancel the action, click on the function in the menu a second time. In any case, accessibility settings can be reset.

The software works on popular browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera (subject to manufacturer conditions). Browsing in accessible mode is recommended on the Chrome browser.

The website provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and supports the common usage pattern for keyboard operation using arrow keys, Enter, and Esc to exit menus and windows.

For the best browsing experience with screen reading software, we recommend using the most current NVDA software.
